5 Favourites: Perfumes.

I thought I'd do a little post on my five favourite perfumes. My "Five Favourites" posts are usually quite popular, and I've never really blogged about the perfumes I wear.
I tend to go for not so ~known~ brands, although this usually changes after a few years!

Viktor & Rolf - Flowerbomb: I'm pretty sure everyone will have heard of this, I've had it for about two years now, my dad bought me back a 100ml bottle which cost around £100! So much money, but it's lasted me so long. My old flatmate told me about it, she had a tiny sample of it and I had never smelt anything so gorgeous. I'm actually surprised about how many people come into work asking for it (we've only just started selling the 100ml bottle), especially as I've had it for so long!
When I first got it, literally no one had heard of it but now it seems a bit more popular and I'm getting a bit sick of it!
I'm terrible at describing the notes in fragrances, and there is nothing on their website which describes it, apart from "floral" so we'll go with that. It has notes of bergmot, jasmine & green tea. The grenade shaped bottle is meant to signify the "explosive" nature of the scent.

Chloe - Chloe: I got this for Christmas last year, I had sprayed the tester strip and shoved it in my shopping bag when I was in town. I kept smelling it and it took me so long to work out what smelt so amazing! I always love perfumes more when I've left them to develop. This is an Eau de Parfum so even though it's just a 30ml bottle, a little really does go a long way.
I love the bottle too, so lovely! It also smells quite floral, containing freesia, lily of the valley & peony notes.

Chanel - Chance: Graeme bought this for me sometime last year, I think after coming back from another tour. I absolutely love this, I love how a scent can take you back somewhere so easily. This reminds me of Paris and also Russia last year. Such a fresh smelling perfume, with notes of hyacinth, pineapple, musk and vanilla. Chance is French for "luck".

Viktor & Rolf - Eau Mega: Another V&R perfume, I got this about a year ago but I don't think a lot of people have heard of it due to it being overshadowed by Flowerbomb. I actually prefer this to Flowerbomb at the moment, I'm not sure why but I'm just attracted to less known scents!
I adore the bottle too, to spray you squeeze the V&R logo on the gold lid. It is a play on of the Greek letter Omega (Eau Mega...) and has notes of musk, violet leaf, pear and peony.
It's not as sickly sweet as Flowerbomb, but it really is such a gorgeous scent. One I've been wearing a lot more recently.

Marc Jacobs - Daisy Eau So Fresh: I got this as an early valentines present from my boyfriend this year. It was a limited ed. exclusive to Harvey Nichols but can now be bought anywhere. It's a summer scent, so contains less alcohol (alcohol and the sun can cause the skin to dry out, so summer scents usually have a lower alcohol scent) which means it doesn't stay on the skin for long. I love this more than the Daisy perfume but admittedly it's staying power isn't great. The top notes are grapefruit, raspberry and pear.
I absolutely love the bottle too! Such a lovely variation of Daisy which I think I shall be buying soon!

Like I said, I'm terrible at describing scents so I got a little help from Fragrantica.

February Favourites.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how bad is it that I still don't know how to spell February? Well anyway, I thought I'd get a few of my favourite things together that I've been loving this month.

Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator: I have an undying love for Liz Earle products, and this is another product that always delivers. A good exfoliator is something everyone should invest in. Much like the famous Cleanse&Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, it is a thick cream holding fine jojoba beads to gently exfoliate away dead skin cells. An exfoliator which is too abrasive can scratch and irritate skin so this is perfect due to the size of the exfoliating beads, it is also contains cocoa butter and eucalyptus to calm skin. An absolute must have.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer: The ultimate concealer for amazing coverage, I use this under foundation as I think it's slightly too easy to wear on top. I end up with flawless skin and a little goes a long way. Can't argue with that!

Models Own Nail Polish in Nude Beige: Such a lovely natural colour, I'd never think of wearing this on my nails but it's gorgeous.

Perfect but not too perfect eyebrows: I love my eyebrows, defined but not drawn on with a Sharpie pen. Eyebrows really frame the face and complete a look, so I think a brow brush, a small angled brush and some eyeshadow are all you need to create a perfect arched brow.

Fresh summer scents: I love light and fresh perfumes, my most recent addition was my Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh Daisy perfume but I also have other ones such as Chanel Chance and Chloe. They're really easy to wear and just add a gorgeous scent which isn't too overpowering.

Film Cameras: Getting photos developed is one of my favourite things, I have quite a few film cameras and I think they're wonderful. They always come out so dreamy and pretty. I'm trying to hunt down polaroid film for my polaroid camera.

What were your February Favourites?

Today OOTD.

Top: Topshop
Skirt: H&M
Necklace: H&M
Bag: Primark

Ahh my first outfit post! It's not the best, but I can only get better eh. My hair is a mess! And I'm not sure if i like this outfit with the necklace or not.
I also bought that Primark bag that everyone has. So cute!

My boyfriend and I went into town today (it was packed) and Graeme bought me the Limited Ed. Marc Jacobs "Eau So Fresh" Daisy perfume from Harvey Nicks!
It smells like heaven! I posted about this before, and I absolutely love it. It's an early Valentines day present, although I didn't think we were going to do anything this year really (but he did take me to Paris last year...) but we went to Waitrose and got one of those "Dine in for 2" meal things which looks lovely. Om nom noms...

When we were in Harvey Nichols (my least favourite place to be, but that's where MAC, Nars etc. is) we were served by a couple of older ladies dressed like they were going out to dinner and they were fussing around putting my perfume in bags with ribbons etc. and they dropped a bottle of perfume not once but twice! In the space of about two minutes. Great service there, ladies...
We left town pretty swiftly, but I picked up a copy of the Sun newspaper so I could claim my free Barry M set!

I hope everyone enjoys the fact that I have blogged twice in one day. I was also featured on the lovely Jo's blog as a blog to follow! I'm so pleased because I also reached 100 followers today! Happy happy happy. So thanks to everyone :)

Nice things.

Awesome response to my giveaway, so thanks to everyone who has entered. If you haven't already entered, you can do so here.
On Sunday I went for a little shop, and ended up buying far more makeup than was necessary! In the last week or so, I have bought a grand total of 6 blushes. Addicted.
I had a massive spend in Topshop, including this scalloped top (planning to wear it with a black bodycon, my cameo necklack, black tights and my studded leather jacket.), also a striped sleeveless vest top (to go with black tights and denim hot pants) and a looovely little black and white shirt with a peter pan collar (I know I'm obsessed with peter pan collars!).
I also finally invested in some Topshop makeup!
I bought a lipstick in Brighton Rock which is a gorgeous bright pink, and two creamy blushes in Neon Rose and Pinch. I've actually never tried anything else except a powder blush (well if it ain't broke and all that) so I thought I would give these a go. They look really bright, but actually on and rubbed in they're a lovely "just pinched" colour which is what I look for. I'm really impressed with the Topshop makeup and I really want the lighter highlighter they do but they were all out. Planning to go back this week at some point and buy some more things.
I bought this eyeshadow palette from H&M in the sale for a whole £2! I haven't swatched it yet but it looks fabulous. Some lovely colours for Spring.
I was in Harvey Nichols looking at some MAC goodies when a woman sprayed me with the new Eau So Fresh edition of Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume. I've never been that into the Daisy perfume until recently, but this edition of it is absolute divine! Its exclusive to Harvey Nicks and I have decided that I absolutely must have it. It smells gorgeous and really fresh... I'm rubbish at describing smells but if you can pop into a store you should definitely get a sample of this. It's heaven!
It was 3 for 2 on Bourjois products in Superdrug and I've been lusting after the Rose D'or blush for so long, I had to have it. It's on the left, and has a lovely subtle sheen. I also got Rose Ambre which is more of a darker peachy colour which looks nice too. And of course I got a lovely pink lipstick for free!

I also got the Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator which is proving to be just as incredible as her other products. I will post a full review soon.
Must stop shopping! xo.
