NOTD . . . FRANKEN - TWENTY TEN

This is my NOTD. Finally almost a FULL YEAR after Kae sending me this I am trying it! I know, I'm a bad person!! Kae from THE HUNGRY ASIAN made this and another franken for me last year around Christmas time and while going through and trying to get all my untrieds lumped into one place I came across the two frankens she sent me.

She named this one Twenty Ten, I think for New Years that was right around the corner, see like I said - almost a year later (hanging head in shame!). The base of this polish was kind of a sheer black color and her note she sent with it said I needed three coats, so in order to speed the process along a little bit I did a base coat and only 2 coats of the glitter bomb Twenty Ten.

The nurse at my son's doctors appointment oooohed and aaahhhed over this and asked if it was the new Christmas color that just came out, lol! Little did she know this was last years color (again: head. . . hang . . . shame . . . ).

GARAGE SALE FIND, FRANKEN & WHAT'S COMING UP!

Look what my Mom snagged at a garage sale for me:

She got some more (polishes not Street Wears), but this was the standout of the bunch. Can't wait to try it out and get pictures posted for you all.

Also, my franken name was decided on, meet FADE TO JADE:

Also, I should have some swatches of these colors today for you all as well.

Lastly, I started posting recipes for the desserts I showed you all yesterday. You can find them on POLISHING OFF. . . , for those of you that were interested.

JADED LEAVES

This is my franken with konad on it. I used ChG in Cherish (the bottle I'm holding in the pictures) for the stamping. I thought it matched well with the green of the franken and love how this turned out - very spring-y.

Don't forget to vote at the top for a name for this franken - the poll is at the top of the blog.

FRANKEN - HELP ME PICK THE NAME

Here is my latest franken attempt. This didn't quite turn out the color I was going for, but I still like it. I was going for a a jade color. Don't know if you know this, but there are probably 50 different shades of jade, so the the one I was going for is the more light greenish blue one. I have a picture below of what my inspiration was.

I used clear, Loreal Waters Edge, Color Club White, Klean Colors green. I think I made mine a little too green. I also used Carolyn NY clear and after it was too late realized it was a quick dry. I think using the quick dry made this polish a little bit more of a pain to apply.

SO as always, I ask you all to help me name my frankens. I have come up with two names that I like and have a poll at the top of the blog for you to vote on the name. Thanks for help and hope you enjoyed my franken.

I still might try to perfect the jade look I was going for in the first place this weekend :)

WET N WILD & A FRANKEN SWATCHES

This first one I'm gonna show you is a franken that Christy from Kronicles of a Konader made for me. It is actually sort of a dark pink more than red glitter franken. I just loved how this looked on my nails. Wonderful job there girly!!

This second one is a new shade from Wet n Wild called Night Prowl. What a beaut this is! It is a dark purple or black base with pink and purple shimmer/glitter. AWESOME! This was a gift from Christy too, so thank ya little lady :)

Blurred to show the awesome shimmer!
